If you are on our mailing list or have met us at any networking event, you know of our tradition of sending or handing out more than just a brochure or business card!
When we first began attending networking events, we noticed that while we exchanged business cards with as many as 30 people, we (with a few exceptions) remembered few of those whom we met, let alone what their business was or what they did. We quickly realized that those who met us probably did not remember us either. We knew we needed to kick it up a notch and create something memorable in our mailings, or for people to take away with them from an event.
We started creating "Marketing Packs," containing our flyer highlighting our recent projects, marketing pieces such as our "Bookmark our site!" bookmark, postcards announcing our new offerings, announcements of gallery showings of our president Kathy Canfield Shepard's watercolor artwork, a copy of a recent press piece, and finally, a piece of chocolate!
The response was just what we hoped it would be. Within months of beginning this new initiative, we noticed that people at networking events whom we had met (sometimes even a year or more before) remembered us from our package, or knew of us already because someone had told them about it.
Through our new Creative Marketing Solutions offerings, we now bring this effective marketing approach to our clients. We begin with a Preliminary Assessment where we plan your Marketing Pack, and then go on to implement your plan.
Preliminary Assessment
We begin our process by meeting with you to determine what you wish to achieve with your marketing initiative. This will help us to decide what types of items you will include in your Marketing Pack. We also review your budget so we can see what it is possible for us to include. Marketing Packs can be completed within almost any sized budget.
Items to be included usually fall into four categories:
- Items you already have in stock, possibly including the following:
- Things you can print "in house":
- Items to be professionally printed:
- Special announcement postcard
- Bookmark
- Things to be manufactured or special ordered:
- Promotional item
- Chocolate or other candy
Implementation
Once we have your Marketing Solution plan in place, we will begin to put together your Marketing Pack. We determine what pieces need to be designed, printed, ordered and produced in-house.
Canfield Design Studios can design all new pieces to be included in each package, and can also help with researching and ordering special promotional items and supplies.
Assembly
When all of the pieces are in place, we will assemble the packages. Canfield Design Studios is available to assemble your Marketing Packs, or you can elect have your office handle this phase of the project.
